Rules and Regulations

  1. All the matches will be played on 20 over.
  2. Minimum 5 bowlers should bowl for any matches and the maximum overs per bowler shall be one fifth of allotted overs (rounded off to higher side) in the match.
  3. Free Hit applicable for this tournament.
  4. 30 Yards Circle: For the first 06 overs (in 20 overs match) only two fields men outside of the 30 yards circle markings are permitted at the time bowler starts his run up for bowling. For the team bowling second, the proportion that was applied to the team bowling first shall be the criterion on field restriction.
  5. Team should adhere to fixtures TIMINGS strictly and should be present at the ground before 30 minutes. If any team is delaying to give playing 11’s to umpire later than the fixtures timings, then the delaying team shall be penalized by umpire by reducing the number of overs (weighted average time per over is 4 minutes. All fractions shall be omitted for penalty overs)
  6. For a normal match, the team with higher number of runs scored in that particular match is declared as winner. In the case of TIE on the total runs scored the results shall be decided by the “super over” (If time permits) or “spin of coin” in the presence of the umpires.
  7. If the matches could not be played for full quota of overs due to weather, the following rules apply:a) If the first batting side completes its match quota or during their batting after completes the minimum number of 05 overs and there is interruption/ truncation in the match, to decide the winners, minimum number of batting overs should be 05 for the 2nd batting team and the target run (par score) shall be calculated based on the Duckworth Lewis Method.b) If weather is not allowing starting the match or continue the match, umpire shall wait till the possibility of playing the match with 05 overs each side. If 05 overs match is not also possible, then the spin of the coin shall decide the winner of the match.
  8. The Umpire and Scorer shall declare the results based on Official Scorer’s Score Sheet only and the result shall be final and binding.
  9. All decisions, governing the state of the pitch, ground, weather condition and light for play, will be left to the discretion of the umpires.
  10. The captain of the batting team shall not declare his innings closed, at any time before the completion of the allotted over or before a result is arrived.
  11. Any form of time wasting is unfair, Umpires should fully take in to account any deliberate slowing down of the game, by either batsman or fielding side, where is to be to the disadvantage of the opposite team
  12. Using cell phone inside the ground at the time of play by both match officials and players shall destruct the game and hence strictly prohibits it.
  13. Match ball (Rs.400) is available with the organizers and it is compulsory to use the match.
  14. CODE OF CONDUCT:If any player is reported by umpire as misconduct during the match time, the same player shall not be allowed to play further matches in this tournament.
